UM, HELLO???? THE RAIDERS ARE COMING TO TOWN!

While my blogger buddies cry to each other about which celebrity is politically stupider than the next and weather or not Eddie Vedder is Canadian or not, I am going to try to bring this blog back to what it was made for...THE JETS!!!
The Raiders are all that is on my mind. The Jets delivered an awesome Christmas present for all Jets fans last week when they squeaked out a win for us with 10 seconds to go.
Now we need to ask the Jets for a Happy New Year's Eve present in a win over the Raiders. We will take another one down to the wire if need be. A blow out would be great. But a win is all we really want and need.
A win means we are in the playoffs. A loss means we still might get in but we will need a bunch of teams to lose. We win next week and we are either facing the Colts or the Pats in their houses.
But lets not get that too far up the road. We need the Jets to beat the Raiders first. The Raiders Defense is really good, despite their crappy season. Their offense has a lot to be desired about. But Leon Johnson will be coming home so he might be amped up to face his former team, that let him go.
At any rate, I think we will win but I declare a close one. I think it will come down the the foot of rocker Ted Nugent again. It could be a shootout between him and Seb Janikowski.
I say Jets 15 - Raiders 12.
Happy New Year
PS: Feel free to post but if you want to post about Eddie Vedder, South Korea, the Iraq War, Celebrities that have graduated from Harvard, or anything else having to do with anything other than the Jets, go to another blog. Simply put your desired topic in the Blogger search engine and you will find the blog of your taste.

Those guys were losing me. Nice to see some Jet blogging again!

The win against the Dolphins was the titties. Talk about all this political jargon, not so much the titties.

You guys are pussies...I will go somewhere else. I didn't know there was Nazi regulators on here...By the way, I could care less so don't come crying that you were only kidding. Shout it out when you need some IT help replacing your testies with a vulva.

One more thing, you are so far off...The only reason the Raiders defense is ranked anywhere is that other teams have taken mercy. Meaning, when you are up by 20 points in the 2nd quarter you just pound out the clock. You don't have to keep playing. Their defense is as pathetic as their offence. Go back and look at the games...where the scoring was, etc...They suck all around.

Jets 45 Gayders 11

PS - His name is Canadian Eddie Vedder...yours is about to be Canadian Unruly Jets Fan!

Plus I enjoyed your post about the NBA last week!

Or the one about racism a couple of weeks ago...

I agree with the Irish person. Don't be a Nazi Unruly. Either that, or you better post a blog every day about the Jets so people don't get bored.

We are just a bunch of clowns having some conversations, sometimes they go off topic, bfd.

We always get back to the Jets. Regardless, Leon Johnson? He will only have an impact if he plays offense and defense and throws the ball to himself on offense.

As far as the censorship goes, you may lose Shea Gadfly if you attempt it or even talk about it.

Candian Eddie Vedder would agree with me and Shea. He would probably talk about it at his next concert, how even blogs don't allow free speech anymore, etc.
And come on, how could defend Harvard?

I think you lost the Irishman, unruly, and there will be no getting him back to blog about the Jets.

I would never leave even if UJF made fun of the Mets...it would only make me write more...

By the way...Fuck Zito & Hitler (aka his agent Scott Boras).

Anonymous said...

I agree, fucking Boras, that cocksucker fuck.

Let's see what happens with Perez, Maine, Bannister, you never know. And like I commented on Subway, maybe Dontrell is available for a trade come next trading deadline.

Keep the faith brother!

Go Mets and Jets.

Also don't forget Humber & Pelfrey. People are going to blame Omar but I think he did the right thing. Pitchers don't get seven years...five is a stretch. The Giants did it because they lost Schmidt to a team in their own division. The Giants still won't win...Zito will get crushed in that park. I hope he thanks Boras everytime someone puts one of his weak fastballs in McCovey Cove.

Uh oh, none of that was about the Jets!!! I'll stop now before I get my membership privies taken away!

Go Jets!

Go RU!

I am actually rooting for Rutgers tonight. It is unbelievable but true. Part of the reason is that the coach decided to stay at Rutgers (for at least next year).

Go New Jersey. I forgot about Pelfy and Humber. They have talent, let's just hope it's the real deal. What's the lifespan of Wags as the closer? It's a scary proposition.

Anyway, go Mets, go Jets!

Peace out brothers!

Oh yeah, on a Jets related note, I have been given clearance to have a first round playoff party at my house for the Jets. So they better fucking win this Sunday. Figgy, if you lived in NJ you would be invited.

Beat it.

GODDAMN SNOW!!!!!!

Denver is getting ANOTHER blizzard. Two feet on top of the the other two feet that was 3/4 gone. Shit.

Thanks to Momar for the props on the NBA article.

Sorry about the political stuff. Shea, we need to hang out when I come back to Jersey in early April, I enjoy the discussion, don't consider it an arguement.
Fakehead, thanks for keeping the First Amendment alive and well.

Jets will win easier than the score would indicate 23-10 and breeze into the playoffs, its a home game, Jersey and NY will be alive for them, unlike the Giants who will probably get in because they beat Carolina and Atlanta convincingly earlier in the season. Was that this season?

Prepare for the Colts gentlemen. The Broncos should beat the Niners and I tell you Shanahan has the Patriots number. The Broncos for some reason really play the Patriots well. Champ Bailey should be Defensive MVP. 9 interceptions all but one inside the 10-yard line with the other team threatening to score. Broncos get a RB and a stud DE and watch out. Cutler is the MAN. My God, what an arm, 70-yard throws, no shit.

Jets/Broncos potential playoff matchup? Nah, Baltimore and San Diego. But that would be cool.

I recall the last time the Jets faced the Raiders in a playoff/pressure type game they were comparing Pennington to Montana but thats all I can remember.

How did that one work out for ya?

I never met a bigger bunch of sissies. "Thanks for keeping our first amendment rights"??? You got to be kidding me!!!

I couldnt sensor you ladies in a million years if I wanted to. The name of this blog is J-E-T-S, Blog blog blog. There is no hope for me. My contributing writers are a Bronco's/Giant's Fan, A Mets Fan who is humoring himself until April 1st, and political pundant who says the word "fuck" more than the word "the" in his blogs.

And you know what, I woiuldn't change it in a million years. You guys are my peeps. I dont give a shit what you guys write about. I just think it is cool this keeps us in contact.

We Holy Farmers need to stay close bc it is a crazy world out there.

Arnie Shaw said...

Back to Zito...he can thank Borat for ensuring he will never win a World Series.

I am glad the Mets did not go for him. We have a lot of young guns like Hummer, Pelfry, Maine, Bannister. Even if two out of the four turn into decent pitchers we will be looking good. I dont want to trade for anyone. I think we should just develope these young guys. We made it all the way to the NLCS last year with bandaid pitching. I think we have another 3-4 years with our superstar offense...at least with the cornerstones of that offense. I think we Met fans need to be patient.

As for Caymus and his "funny" Chadford tag name, this is a much different Raider team we are facing. I dont even know who the QB is.

I almost wish we were facing them in their house though bc we have been road warriors all season.

Anyhow, I am sticking with my low score. I wouldnt bet on this game (I just put that in there for my gambling friends).

Mookie McFly said...

Sorry UJF but Bannister got traded to the Royals for Ambriox something or other...he's got a live arm but is crazy wild. Lets hope the Jacket (Rick "I wear a jacket in mid August when it's 110 degrees outside) can straighten him out like he did some of the other guys.

As for everything else you said, I agree except I still think a blow out is in the making. Something like what RU did to Kansass last night. It was pretty sweet to beat a big conference team...just like in NCAA hoops the Big East is underrated.

Happy New Years!!!

Figgythemick said...

RU, Rah, tah!

Yaeh! Rutgers handily won a bowl game last night! Ray Rice is going to the pros. I hope the Broncos pick him in the late first round.

I was bummed the Mets didn't get Zito. But the Giants are losers, get an original name..
I don't think the Mets have enough pitching, that Mata guy is unreliable, Traschel tries, Glavine's 70 years old and Pedro might not even make it back this year..I want one of Detroit's young arms.

Mookie McFly said...

Once again, I have to correct you guys...watch some hot stove baseball.

Trachsel's option wasn't picked up and after being a pussy in last year's playoff he might never get a job in baseball again. Supposedly his wife had a fling with Lastings Milledge so he went back to Cali before the playoffs were even over...pussy.

Not sure who Mata is but I like our pitching.

Glavine (arguably the best pitcher in the playoffs in 2006 next to Suppan) the ace from last year is back, Maine is a solid pitcher (anywhere from 15-17 wins in a full year especially pitching at Shea), Oliver Perez can be deadly (in his second season he won 16 games and had a sterling k/walk ratio) & then you throw in two #1 draft picks in Humber (#1 overall in 2003) & Pelfrey (#3 in the first round)...It's a good mix of lefties and finesse to power pitchers. Sure, if there is a way to get Dontrelle Willis, I say go get him...but there isn't a rush. Trades can be made during the season in baseball. I see no reason ever to give a pitcher more than a four year contract...remember baseball contracts are guaranteed. If Zito gets hurt surfing tomorrow, the Giants will be paying him for the next seven years regardless.

In baseball it's 162 games, a marathon not a sprint. You don't always have to be the most loaded team...just the most consistent. The NL West has gotten better and Philly made some slight improvements. But the Mets are still the best team in the division and by the end of the year they will be the best team in baseball...

Hopefull the Jets can stun the world with consistency and be the best team in the AFC. Whether or not they are, like the Mets a few years ago when Wright (was the MVP of the first half) & Reyes (should have been MVP for the season) came on the scene, they have shown dramatic improvement and growth. You can't reall ask for anything more than your team to get better going towards the ultimate goal.

I don't know what to say to Giants fans...it hurts when your team takes two steps back. I've had it happen to me (see 2000 & 2001 to 2002 versions of the Mets who got worse every year). At least the Giants will probably make the playoffs this year too...
